What a gift, to see the people we love, who deserve the best - who are worth it and so much more - get what they need. Some of the best moments, I'd say!
ReplyDeleteThank you, this was a tough one for me. I often feel clueless about what I need, or what my loved ones need. And I feel helpless when it's something that maybe I can't provide, or that has nothing to do with me.
ReplyDeleteEspecially in childhood there are often so many unmet needs. Perhaps during those years our friends help us most just by being themselves, and vice versa. This piece was honoring one of those friendships, and how even just being there is such a big deal. It's a lesson to me to just be myself and trust the love to shine through.
I wrote this late and without too much agonizing. Was feeling a big sense of gratitude and hope, and could see how everything works out okay in the end. I'm glad the feeling made it through! Thank you for being in our circle, and I appreciate your comment :)
